Southern Russia circa 1890, with 10 1/4in. straight double-edged blade, central narrow fuller, embossed and engraved white-metal hilt of typical form decorated with engraved and nielloed bordered panels, two pointed dome rivets, en-suite scabbard (dented near tip) with applied hanger loop and pointed tear-drop finial, strong traces of gilding to decoration throughout
